This is a great bunch of people! I didn't even know there was a town called Rugby. Is that where the sport of Rugby originated? As for you not being too keen on your town, I think everybody wants to be where they're not from time to time. There are a lot of great places in the British Isles. Check out York some time too. It's fabulous! |

Ruth, I will more than likely check York out at some point. I do hope to move to Hull soon enough, and they're practically next door, so no doubt I'll visit York soon and get some snaps of it! |

You will have noticed that there is a little bit of a race to be the first to welcome a new member in the forum, it always used to be me! Grrrrgh, pesky American woman! She even came across from the United States a few weeks ago (pretending it was a holiday of course) but trying to change the way we live, interrupted our way of life for about a month in fact. We had to hide, remove the numbers from our gates and houses, but she still found me, grey haired old bat! Ha, ha, Scott that should just about do it! Thinks....wouldn't be surprised if she didn't threaten to come over again to sort me out.You will also have noticed that a certain Peter welcomed you. He said he'd been away on holiday, but I can tell you it's the best week weve had here in the forum for ages! Now wait for his little darling Ruth to have a go at me as well, she really likes Peter you know, thinks he's the clever sane one! Ah well Scott, I guess I've done enough damage for one day, join in when you can, the banter gets really good sometimes......it's because the women don't know how to handle it! The men? Well some of them are real jokers, aren't they Andy? If you manage to get the time to go back in the threads Scott, you will find some very funny people lurk around here!! |
