Welcome to POE Stephanie. I am glad I'm not the only one who was slow to figure it out! I had a look at your pictures and they are really great. |

I love to see all the pictures from the different users and think it is amazing that so many people can capture views in so many different ways! Andy and Peter know that I am already a big fan of their shots because of all the comments. I love the way Lyn promotes her area with her lovely shots and humour, Sue H - I love your photos especially the Box sunset, Sue G-R your lovely Worcestershire photos (not far from me), Ruth I especially love those Rievaulx Abbey shots and Karen - this is the first time I have looked through yours and I love the Clovelly ones - I am going there later this year. This is a lovely site where we can appreciate photos and scenes for what they are without being stuffy and commenting on the type of camera or speed we used which makes it all boring! In answer to Ruth it was a wonderful wedding and honeymoon. San Francisco was amazing especially the Golden Gate bridge which I saw on a completely clear day! Sad to here about that fire - there have been some awful disasters in your country in the last few years. The photo you like of Packwood House - I went last Saturday - my second visit. The garden there is one of the best we have been to (we are members of National Trust and English Heritage). The Black Country is known for being an industrial area and famously for Queen Victoria shutting the curtains on the train as she passed by! However there are some lovely places and fantastic heritage and it is easy to visit so many places from here on day trips being in the middle of the country! |

The legendary Ron Brind who stirs the members up something rotten, and then pulls back to let them fight it out between themselves!! Welcome Stephanie, and yes some really nice pics for us to share, thank you! As for the other members of the public looking in without daring to register...Pictures Of England (POE). C'mon what are you waiting for, we don't bite! Mind you they often get their teeth into me....can't really understand why though!!! You will soon realise also that there is a little bit of rivalry when it comes to being the first to welcome a new member.....I reckon that Lyn has got hold of a POE early warning member registration sensor! Anyway, enjoy it now that you are here Stephanie and join in with the banter whenever you can. |
