I really love your version of Moonlight Sonata, John.  Do you play piano too?

Hi John,

I know we've already 'met' in a way, through postings on the threads, but I'd like to say a belated welcome.  You've been a POEnglander about a year longer than me, I think, but we started posting on the forums at nearly the same time.

Nice to get to know you.  I'm also a writer (of sorts) mainly as a volunteer with a community newspaper, although I have had one or two poems published.

Nice to get to know you too, Alan. Congratulations on getting your poetry published - do you have any that's yet to see the light of day? I know the editor of Cadenza Magazine, and she's always keen on new poets.

If you want the address, just let me know.

High, Ruth. I'm glad you liked my Moonlight Sonata. I spend years trying to play that using normal guitar tuning, but the hand positions were impossible. Recently I started messing about with unconventional tunings and finally I found one that allows me to get my fingers around the chords.

No, unfortunately I don't play piano. I can't read music either. I keep promising myself that one of these days I'll learn, but I'm a lazy devil.

Thanks, Catherine. Glad you liked it.

Yup, Enya produces some very pretty stuff. Good background music to work to, I find.
