Hello everyone~my name is Jan. I found this site just today and am thrilled to see all that is going on here. I live in NJ but have always said my heart lives in England. My dear Mom was English and came to America as a "war bride" after marrying my Dad who was from the states. So unfortunately, I do not have the priveledge of dual citizenship since it was my Mom who was from England. I am currently beginning a search for a small condo/flat near my family in Cambridshire as I want to spend more and more time there as my own children are pretty much on their own.

If anyone knows of a site or any info on the process of purchasing from overseas I would be delighted for the advice.

Thanks~have a lovely day.

Welcome !! and i would like something similar, am looking for a place too!!!

Thanks again. I have looked at some online estate agents. However it is very hard to do this long distance. Plus I really want as close to or in Whittlesey if possible. I am hoping to make a trip over there in the fall~nothing specific booked yet. And I guess then I will be able to arrange some viewings with an agent. My family over there is also looking for me as well. They all have very small homes~so, anything beyond a fortnights stay would be an imposition, plus I like my privacy.

Richard~Where are you looking? Do you have a specific area in mind? Maybe We can share information with one another?!?
