Hello! I am attempting to plan an England Holiday for my two daughters (graduating from college in May 2009) and me. We will be attending a Summer school week at Queen's College in late June. Does anyone have a suggestion for accomodations that would be reasonable and convenient? We are all photography buffs and would also appreciate advice on photo opportunities in the surrounding area. I am especially interested in old and out of the way settings. We all enjoy old book stores and gardens and the places familiar to the local folks. We would appreciate any input from someone who knows the area. THANK YOU.

Hi Dyeanna and welcome to PoE.  You didn't clarify which Queen's College you were refering to.  Oxford or Cambridge?  Hope you enjoy your visit no matter which one.

Oxford of course Paul. Who would want to go to Cambridge  .

Sorry Dyeanna, I'm an Oxfotd girl, and there is great rivalry between Oxford and Cambridge.

There are several of us from the Oxford area on the forums, though I live in a different area now and can't be of much help.

I hope you visit us here on the forums, but especially take a look at the wonderful picture tours and get an idea of what all you can see when you visit England.

Hello Dyeanna, welcome to POE. Of course the great C S Lewis' former home is in Oxford!

Correct Stephanie, not only book them securely online Dyeanna but get them cheaper than going direct to the hotels! That's the power of POE!
