Hi to all at POE

My name is Michael, (AKA Mick).  48 yrs old

I live in Manningtree, said to be the smallest town in England.   My hobbies are photography, computing, gardening.  I also run my own website, and have been a moderator over at the Digital Camera Magazine website for a couple of years.

Current camera is a Canon 30D, and my most used lenses are the Tamron Sp 90mm f/2.8 Di macro, and the Sigma 50-500 EX DG (AKA Bigma).

Sorry I was so slow in introducing myself, I was so busy exploring this great site.  Some amazing pics on here.  Cool

Hi Mick and welcome to PoE from me too and hope you enjoy looking around and the forum too.  Despite a number of Nikon cameras, also have a 30D lurking amongst them. Also have been going to your DC Mag site for a very long time now, and a friend has 45 pics on there that get very good feed back scores/comments, all from his 20D with dear Canon lenses on it. He's waiting for reviews of the 5D II to appear in the magazine while I've been waiting for him to lower the price of his 20D as it has such lovely colours comming from it; especially portraits, though a 40D was bought to replace it on his world travels which are on your site.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.  Happy new year to you all. Wink

Strangely enough, I don't have many photos from my home town, not sure why.  I hope to change this in the new year.  I'll be sure to post them up when I have.

Thanks to all that have commented on my images so far. Cool

Paul,

I think your right about the 20D, colours are superb.  IMO the 10D also did a great job, and that was the camera I was saving for at the time.   It took me so long to save, that the 30D was out by the time I had enough money. lol..

Your friend, would that be Jim the train?
