Hello Allan,

Welcome to both POE and Oz. My wife and I were in Manchester (albeit briefly) in 2007, and visited Perth for the first time (after driving against a head wind across the Nullarbor ) last September. I think you have chosen a wonderful part of Australia to settle. What could be more stupendous than Kings Park??  Perth is a beautiful city (Ron would agree, wouldn't you Ron?). I think I could swap Sydney for Perth any day (well, almost maybe...)

Hi Allen, welcome here....

Tried to get over to Alice, thence to N.T. from Cairns once, but my van blew 2 plugs right out of the block and had to fly to Darwin, so there's still that journey....waiting~~would love to take the Indian Pacific across the Nullarbor~~stop along the way and have a pint of XXXX beer in Broken Hill.....
