hi all just thought i would introduce myself, im carl, just joined the site a few days ago. its good to find a site with so many people appreciating the english countryside and its vast scenery .im a coast and mountain person myself but its fascinating to see other aspects of this pleasant land. a few years ago i walked the three peaks challenge (snowdon, scafell pike and ben nevis)for a local charity, it took four of us just under fourty eight hours to complete,my only regret is that we were in such a rush i never got to take any pictures of the breathtaking views but now i can enjoy the memories here on this wonderful poe site. I look forward to the pictures and conversations here with much eagerness regards carl

Hello Carl

I admire a man of the mountains, as I am unable to climb them myself.

Look forward to seeing your pictures and getting to know you here on the forums.

Hi Carl:  Nice to meet you.  Hope to see more of your lovely  pics.  I read your profile, and you mentioned Colchester as the oldest town in England.  Wasn't it Colchester that Boudica burned down in her tribe's fight against the Romans?
