Please don't feel like you are intruding, this is your forum as well as ours and you are most welcome to join us. I am from England but living in the U.S.A. so I can tell you what I miss, food wise about home. I miss Marmite, Branston Pickle, HP Sauce, Bird's Custard Powder and Scots Poridge Oats. Oh, also Marmalade, Blackcurrant Jelly, Lemon Curd, and Tate & Lyles Golden Syrup. I also miss English chocolate of all kinds, as well as McVities Chocolate biscuits. There, just a few things that I personally miss. Of course, your friend may have a completely different list altogether. It sounds to me like your friend has found a very thoughtful person in you to help her settle in her new country. Be sure and visit us again and let us know how things go. |
