Shirley, my "one name society" is actually the Bunting Society of the U.K. I am descended from Buntings who were Quakers who left Matlock in the late 1600's and moved to Pennsylvania in the U.S. I found all of this out tracing my ancestry which was quite a surprise as I had no idea we had Quakers in our lineage and I have never even set foot in Pennsylvania. To clarify, the Bunting Society is just that, a "one name society" of people with the name Bunting in their family tree.
Ray, I will probably be asking questions regarding travel to Long Buckby and Matlock on the travel forum. I look forward to your input.

Down south here is one area steeped in Quaker history at The Jordans where William Penn and his family are buried; close to the village of Penn and the larger town of Beaconsfield. Hope you enjoy your trip over here.
