Hi Everyone here goes for my introducton to you all for a second time ( I ended up in England Chat last time). Vince Hawthorn here and time to say hello to all you good folk at POE. Firstly may I say thank you to those of you who have already posted comments on some of my photos so far, much appreciated. I am 58, live in Surrey, have been married for 35 years now and have one daughter. I was a land surveyor for 7 years way back but for the last 31 years have been a dry cleaner. My interests range from cacti & succulents, photography, the music of Planet Rock and Cornish industrial archaeology (and Kernow in general). I would like to be able to speak Cornish but have to make do with the odd phrase or two. Finding POE has pushed on my interest in photography and I find the site brilliant.Looking forward to posting many photos for you all to see and I look forward to see many more of your photos. Oll an Gwella,

Welcome 'again' Vince from Anna and Ron. That'll teach you to pay more attention to where you post your threads!

Joking aside Vince, you and I know that it was your decision to delete the old thread and start again in 'User Introductions' so I am glad it worked out for you (or is it because you like the attention from the members? Lol).

Really pleased to know that POE has encouraged you to pick up the camera in this beautiful land of ours and yes, you are right, it is a brilliant site!

Durdatha whye! Welcome to POE, Vince. I have some Cornish--or Kernowek if you prefer--ancestry via the Arundells of Lanherne (St. Mawgans) and probably the Arundells of Trerice. Pronunciation of Cornish still mystifies me--maybe because it is a language resurrected in the early 20th century from it's extinction in the 18th century. I think much of the pronuciation is speculative. Nice photo of the robin, by the way! Tereba nessa.
