Hi Everybody,

Originally from the North East of England, yep I’m a Geordie.
I’m a self taught freelance photographer and I’ve been taking photographs since the 70’s, and I’ve been around since 1956, (and going gray as I type !)
Started with a cheap and cheerful Chinon (remember them ?) and then Nikon 35mm's and now use Nikon D-SLR’s.
I always said I wouldn’t go digital but now total convert. Just love the flexibility and being in control of the processing of the photographs, still learning how to use Photoshop though. My mistakes make quite interesting viewing !

Favourite places for taking photos are New York, Rome, the English countryside and my cats, I'm not a portrait photographer as such, prefer subjects that don't answer back or complain, plus I'd need model release forms etc. I am available for commissions - depending on distance - I am based in Derbyshire UK, fees reasonable and negotiable.
My favourite subjects to photograph are landscapes although I do take various other shots as you can see in my portfolios.
Huge fan of the master photographer Ansel Adams.

I like nothing more than being out with my camera, time and wife permitting. The only problem is I spend most of my time working on photographs I’ve taken. In fact I spend more time taking, scanning and editing photographs than is good for me or so my wife Jane tells me. But at least it keeps me quiet and out of the way. Mind you she is my biggest fan of my “snaps”
Anyway, enjoy my photographs and please comment
