I am a retired lady who worked both in the medical field (hospital, clinic) and for the Federal Government. My husband Lee and I live in Riverside County, California. I was born and raised in Orange County, California and lived there for 30 yrs. My hometown, Costa Mesa, used to be quite small--everybody knew everybody else then (1950's) Now, it is so big it has run most of the natives out. I was actually born in Orange, Calif. and taken home to Costa Mesa (only 3 days in hospital due to War it says in my baby book). The hospital (closest one) was 15 miles away from where I would live. I lived most of 30 yrs. on Victoria St. I thought living on a street with that name made my Dad feel at home. He was from Liverpool. I have 2 grown sons, one of whom lives next door to Lee and I. Lee and I both love England and plan to visit in 2011. I love all the pics on this lovely web site. Many thanks to all the photographers and also to Chris and Sarah Plows. Perhaps, if you ever come the 250 miles over here you may want to phone me and I can give you my address. You are welcome here. I will send phone number in a message to you right after I've been on POE. Okay? Urmimala--I've seen some lovely pics you've taken in England. How often do you visit there? Of course all are welcome in my home here, but I realize the distances are great for most of the folks on POE. But, we do have lots of attractions such as Disneyland and Universal City (Universal movie studio's public facilities) Also, celebrities can be seen up in West Los Angeles and of course at Malibu. Now, my age is wrong on my profile. I don't really know how to change it, but will go to 'Help & Support.' Here in USA at my age you can be discriminated against--had it happen on PEOPLE.com. Suddenly after finding out my age I was NOT qualified to take their survey. My husband Lee has been paying that magazine subscription as a gift for 3 years.
