I am a Project Manager (self employed), and Ron suggested I introduce myself here. What a lovely site and a wonderful resource as my wife Carolyn and I love spending weekends away in this beautiful country of ours. After just a few button clicks I have plenty of inspiration for my next trip. I am mad keen on Military History and have been tracing my Family History for about 3 years, which I find a totally absorbing hobby. I would love to hear from fellow enthusiasts on the forum. I am not the most brilliant photographer but I will put my mind to uploading some photos soon! Kind regards to all |

We have some great geneologist here on the forums. Look forward to your pictures. We are not expecting perfection, just beauty and England has an abundance of that. |

By good fortune, managed to trace the family line from there back to 1585. As for military history; one relation was a POW at Sagan in WW2 during the time of the so-called Great Escape there. My Grandad lied about his age to sign up with the Manchester Reg't and spent months at the Battle of the Somme for his trouble which he amazingly survived. Another was a Lt. of horse with the Royalists killed at the Battle of Newark during the Civil War.

Glad you made it and look forward to your pictures (I'll find some for you too). Should perhaps mention dear POE family members that Barry is a nephew of mine, so 'another' Brind to look out for. Lol |

Hence no Avatar picture for me yet, I have sent it off to be airbrushed. I must have had a much heavier paper-round than him. |
