We plan on taking the ferry from Dublin to Holyhead Wales, then rent a car to travel around England. We are looking for anchesters that orignated in England coming to the United States in 1809 (George Woolley at age 54 is a registered alien during the War of 1812.) We believe other anchesters came in the mid to late 1700's. We have the wills of both George and John who are buried in what is now Cinncinati, Ohio. But we have no record of birh date or parents name. George was a weaver and John was a farmer. Any suggestions as to where we start would be appreciated. We have used Anchestry and other geneology sites with no real success. From our reasearch we suspect maybe the counties of WestYorkshire, Kent, Stratfordshire may be possibilities. Thank you. |

You are right and I also should have looked up the counties because they are West Yorkshire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire and and Kent. I may have found them in Lenham, Kent and Smardex, Kent in the mid 1700's but I can not make the tie. We know one son was born in New Jersey, USA in 1788. |
