About Hillside Bed & Breakfast

Hillside Bed & Breakfast is an old Victorian residence located in the historic market town of Kendal, 2 minutes’ walk uphill from the center. This 4-star property offers rooms with free WiFi, and free on-street permit parking for noncommercial vehicles, which must be pre-booked. Each of the rooms with attached bathroom at Hillside has an LCD TV, a hairdryer, and a well-stocked refreshment tray. The en-suites are environmentally friendly with free flow showers. Drying facilities and ironing supplies are also available. All rooms are located upstairs on the first or second floors. Breakfast features fresh fruit, juices, cereals and yogurts followed by a full English breakfast or lighter option made with quality ingredients. Guests can enjoy the town’s various country and riverside walks, as well as shopping in the historic ‘yards’. The Brewery Arts Center is 5 minutes’ walk away, while Abbott Hall Art Gallery and Kendal Museum are 10 minutes' walk away. Hillside is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Lake District and Dales National Parks and has easy access to the A6 and the M6 Motorway. Kendal Train Station is half a mile away. Our car parking is on street residential permit parking. We have a limited number of permits which must be pre booked with us for the duration of your stay, a maximum of 1 per room. The permits do not cover commercial vehicles and trailers.
