Surrounded by the open moorland and forest of Dartmoor National Park, YHA Dartmoor is a rural retreat with good access to off-road routes for walking and mountain biking. Dartmoor ponies can be spotted in the local area as they venture in to graze. Watersports such as white water canoeing can be enjoyed on the River Dart, which is a 5-minute walk from the hostel. Dartmoor National Park offers a host of activities including mountain biking, family cycling routes and rock climbing. A games room, licensed restaurant and a garden are available for guests to use. Laundry facilities, cycle storage and a classroom/educational meeting room are also on offer. Free private parking is also available on site.
