Burdale
"Karen you have posted many really nice photos. There are quite a few though that are quite dark and detail lost. I notice most of these were taken with up to a minus 1.3 EV setting and I don't understand why." - Paul V. A. Johnson(24th August 2019)

"Love the perspective, and that sky gives a very surreal feel to the image. Excellent." - poe(24th August 2019)

The Cabot Tower on Brandon Hill, Bristol
"Thanks for the kind comment, Chris and Sarah. Yes, the Cabot Tower affords a great view over Bristol on a clear day, with good views of the Clifton Suspension Bridge and the SS Great Britain. An added attraction is that it is free entry. All you need is the stamina to climb the stairs." - Edward Lever(23rd August 2019)

BRISTOL and the S.S.Gt.Britain
"The 'blue' effect of the sky is perfectly normal for shots taken at this time of the evening. In fact, many photographers try to get this 'blue hour' effect intentionally. I assume you used a tripod for this shot, which gives you the option of experimenting with different aperture settings without worrying about camera shake. It is probably not worth going to aperture settings smaller than f/16 because diffraction will set in, reducing image sharpness. " - Edward Lever(23rd August 2019)
