The Livery Hall at Goldsmiths' Hall, London
"Well you are right Edward. However this particular shot was taken when the Hall was open for Liverymen to bring their families for a light lunch (soup, a variety of English cheeses, fruit - (and of course a glass of wine for some) after having viewed the annual Lord Mayor's Show. I can assure you that a dinner at the Hall will always be a black tie event and with the chandeliers lit solely with candles together with the Company's magnificent and priceless pieces of silver in use or on display." - Paul V. A. Johnson(12th November 2018)

"Thanks, Terry, for confirming the Tolkien connection. It's a tribute to the power of Tolkien's imagination that Perrot's Folly could be the inspiration for the wizard's tower Orthanc in Lord of the Rings !" - Edward Lever(12th November 2018)
