"This shot looks almost like a model, such is the clarity. It shows what can be done with winter lighting." - Edward Lever(12th September 2018)

Photo of Ruislip by: Chris Williams

ruislip
"When I think of Ruislip, I immediately think of the Polish War Memorial beside the A40, but I haven't seen this smaller memorial before. The framework silhouette of the unknown soldier is almost 'not there' in our world but it is all the more poignant because of this. A nicely considered picture, with the War Memorial as a fitting background. Also, it is a perfect example of a 'rule of thirds' composition, making it altogether a very pleasing shot." - Edward Lever(11th September 2018)

"Excellent shot, it is amazing how very wide angle lenses produce stunning shots. Impressed with many of your other shots too." - Paul V. A. Johnson(10th September 2018)

Photo of Lyme Park by: David Dale

LYME PARK, CHESHIRE
"Oh dear what has happened to your exposure. Surely it looked better than this at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. It is a shame because many of your other shots are fine. I would have thought the camera should get this right (on auto) as there is a reasonable balance between dark and light." - Paul V. A. Johnson(10th September 2018)
