The statues of King Edward and Eleanor adorns Lincoln Cathedral. Edward looks to be dressed not unlike a Ceaser; perhaps this is an e.g. of poetic license and politic flattery his being known as the hammer of the Scotts after successfully and cruelly subdueing the Welsh.

King Edward and Eleanor at Lincoln Cathedral. Eleanor's viscera is buried within the Cathedral, but her body was taken to London. On its journey a cross was built to mark each place it stopped for the night, hence Charing Cross and King's Cross amongst others.
