Hambleden, The Chilterns
The Chilterns are not mentioned very often in American guidebooks. We loved the whole area, especially Hambleden (where we stayed--Stag and Huntsman). Charming, sophisticated (it seemed so to us) friendly, and many shhhs's telling us to keep quiet about the region and it's beauties. There seemed to be no murders during our visit (Midsomer Murders) but we enjoyed our stay regardless of that one oversight! - Kip Bennett (photographer)
