Cathedral Church of St Peter and the Holy and Indivisible Trinity, Gloucester: the cloister

The foundations of the present cathedral were Abbott Serlo in the late 11th century. Thomas de Cantebrugge designed the magnificent cloisters between 1351 and 1377; they are the earliest examples of fan vaults.
