William Hobson (Bill to people that know me)I was born at Christina Hartley nursing home Barrowford road Colne Lancashire on the 19 august 1942,and lived In Colne until my marrage in 1966, then moved to number one Waller Hill Foulridge into one of the canal builders cottages (one up one down dwellings with outside toilets at two shillings and sixpence a week!). my wife Eileen bought me my first set of oil paints for our second aniversary,and I am a self tought artist.We had three children two boys and a girl, all have children of there own now, the oldest being 44.
I first started painting for a living two years after my wife Eileen had bought me my first set of paints,and brought the three children up from my paintings. With five mouths to feed I had to go out and sell my work traveling far and wide,very rarely coming home with a picture that I had taken out.Please have a look at my website.
