I was born in Bournemouth in 1938. Emigrated to the USA with my parents in 1948. Returned to England by myself in 2006 to visit cousins and get acquainted with where I used to live. A couple of years earlier I had become interested in genealogy and still do that in turn got me to this site. I have been able to trace my lineage to Nunthorpe, Yorkshire. (1580) Too bad that I did not know that when I visited. The photos of Yorkshire and the many places throughout England displayed here are truly breathtaking. I thank the people who have shared their photos that have given me more of a feeling about England.
