A picture of Emmetts Garden Emmett's Garden, Sevenoaks, Kent, was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1964. This delightful garden was laid out in the late 19th century with many exotic and rare trees and shrubs from across the world. There are glorious shows of spring flowers and shrubs, a rose garden and rock garden. Emmetts is equally attractive for its spectacular views and autumn colours. Interestingly the name "Emmett" comes not from a person but from the old local word for the giant anthills which filled the woodlands until the 1950s. This picture appears in the following picture tours: Camera Make: FUJIFILM Model: FinePix2600Zoom |
