Trent Lock public house at Sawley, Long Eaton, Derbyshire The pub, formerly known as The Trent Navigation and The Navigation Inn, takes its name from Trent Lock. As well as marking the point where the River Trent and River Soar meet with the beginning of the Erewash canal, the lock sits on the border of three counties: Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The Steamboat public house at Trent Lock, Sawley, Derbyshire Large,two roomed canalside pub. Apart from five real ales it also serves two real ciders. Popular during the day with bikes,hikers, river users and dog walkers. This pub also serves food in the lounge/restaurant. Located at the junction of the River Trent/Soar and Erewash canal the front patio allows good and relaxed views of passing narrowboats and pleasure cruisers.
