Although I toured the Mews by myself, it was interesting to listen in as a guide was giving information about the gilded coach. Employees have the duty to keep the artwork on this and all coaches refurbished and ready for use. Usually there are numerous horses in the stables, but during the summer tours, most are on a farm in the country or in Scotland with the family. Sep 2008

Looking back at the State Rooms portion of the Palace through the Royal Gardens

Although viewing the State Rooms was a treat, it became a pleasure - literally - leaving because we were guided through the Royal Gardens. What a haven of peace and beauty in the midst of all the crowds. Several times I was able to look back at the Palace. Sep 2008
