An American in Australia. Anglophile since the 80's. Thanks for all your beautiful images of the countryside. England has been my favourite place to travel for many years--even after discovering Italy in my old age (well, a few years ago--I'm 59 now). I'm from a great country and I live in a great country, but there's something about those old stones in the British Isles that get me. The history, the architecture, those hills, that greenery (and the museums).... I'm trying to become a freelance copyeditor and proofreader so that I can work from any country in the world, but going out each weekend to discover something visually or historically fascinating in England is my long-term goal. Thanks for a great website.
