About Me

I have had a very varied and interesting life! Evacuated from the Hornsey district of London in approx 1942 London due to the Blitz down to Bournemouth with my mother, twin brother and elder brother. My father was a master baker ( a protected job in wartime) so he stayed in Hornsey and visited us every other two weekends.

Leaving grammar school at 16/17 I first worked at the Meteorological Office at Heathrow Airport, then becoming bored worked in the Laboratories of a local gassworks in Poole, Dorset. Then, coming out of HM Forces I embarked on a selling career selling items like business machines, chocolate,frozen foods,tea bags,printing paper, fabric dyes,optical equipment and ladies lingerie,

I enjoy all types of walking particularly river walks looking for Kingfishers also beach and country walks.

I have visited many European countries as well as North America, Kenya, South Africa and the Far East.
