This picture tour features some of the great castles and cathedrals of England, rising up above the nearby rooftops, which helps to show off their grand and often incredible scale. I will be adding more pictures to the tour as I come across them, along with perhaps some further information such as height and age of each building. Thanks to all the photographers whos pictures feature in this tour.
Originally founded in 680, the present Worcester Cathedral (pictured) was built between 1084 and 1504, and stands at a height of 203 feet / 62 m. One of the most popular views of the cathedral is that from the Worcester town bridge that crosses the river Severn, showing the cathedral towering where it is positioned next to the Severn, where swans on the river also add to the scene.

You have other shots like this one, Stephen, and I think they give your photos a historical quality, showing how the cathedrals were built to dominate the skyline of any town or city. This one's brilliant, well done!!
The light and shadows work very well in this one too.
