Chapel Stile Quarry 2

Looking back down the path from Baysbrow towards the Quarry at Chapel Stile. Poor signposting sent us up this path much to Anne's consternation and annoyance when I told her we were on the wrong path. But it gave us some great views we would not otherwise have seen!!

Lack of distinct signage led us up a wrong path but glad it did as we were regaled with superb views across the Great Langdale valley towards Chapel Stile and what I think is Thrang Crag behind

The footpath from Chapel Stile to Little Langdale passes through a working quarry. Fortunately not too busy this day so no dust blowing to obscure the route markers

Wainwright's Inn

Wainwright's Inn at Chapel Stile on route to the Langdales. Good choice of ales along with a very tasty looking menu. Well worth a detour to make a visit
