Troutbeck 7 An old drinking trough in a wall in Troutbeck, St James Well, which seems still to be served by spring water from somewhere. Can't seem to find out much information about it so if anyone can elucidate a bit more please let me know and will add to this narrative. And if you are thinking did I sample the waters??.....NO!!! Troutbeck 5 An interesting garden feature built around an old plough in the garden of one of the white cottages in the previous image. A dog, a squirrel, a bird feeder and a lovely old milk churn. I can remember drinking milk straight out of them on my uncles farm many many years ago. They were wonderful days! Nanny Lane Troutbeck only a few hundred yards away now. Looking back up Nanny Lane away from Troutbeck, waited here for best part of 15 minutes to try to get the shot without people and this is as good as it got. It was a very busy day on this walk.
