"Over the years I've grown up in the town seen this place change so many times it seems to adapt to the times. Use to be swimming pool, then band stand now has shops, play ground for kids & has a cafe over looking the sea. I like visiting it's gift shop has some really good gift ideas at great prices." - Stephen Luff(9th July 2007)

"what gets me is this place was in all the papers over the complaints of a train carriage being added to it's side, build into the pub. After a ong fight everyone was happy with alterations. Now you ask & no one remembers it's their. It is so different & worth the visit to have a meal in such a setting.I have to pass this on way home from work & it is so hard with the wonderful smell of really great food coming out on to the road." - Stephen Luff(9th July 2007)

"Never known a place as busy as here. I think it cause it is managed so well & caters for so many various tastes. I have to pass it on way to work at nights seeing it's many functions. quiz nights, disco/karaoke,jazz nights, Elvis nights, big screen football & a lovely big extention on back for private functions. It amazes me at a time when the pub trade is suffering you'll never find the place empty. Does tasty food too & a good price." - Stephen Luff(9th July 2007)

"I like this view mainly cause just up the hill beside the church is a great trek up over the Sussex Downs. I've often gone up their & hiked all the way over the Cissbury ring taking in some wonderful views. It has lay-bys to park cars for the motorest too." - Stephen Luff(9th July 2007)
