About The Thirsty Scholar

The Thirsty Scholar is a former coaching inn located in the heart of historic Penryn. Traditional ales and ciders are served in the on-site bar, and guests can relax in the sheltered beer garden or in front of an open fire. Free WiFi is featured in each room, along with an private bathroom, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Home-cooked food is served in the restaurant, with fresh produce sourced locally. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are on offer, with specials available on the weekend. Penryn Rail Station is just a 5-minute walk from the property, and BF-Adventure Park is only 10 minutes away by car. Water taxis to Falmouth can be taken from the harbor, which is just under a 10-minute walk away.
