About Cornish Mines and Engines

This museum set on lonely cliffs far above the swirling Atlantic Ocean is where visitors to the area can learn all about Cornwall's great mining heritage.

Here you will discover a world long gone and see machinery including giant 90 foot beam engines, evocative of the days when men worked and perished in perilously situated Cornish tin and copper mines.

There is also an interesting display recounting the regions social history.

This fascinating discovery centre can be found at Pool, Nr. Redruth, Cornwall
