This just has to be a five +. The shot is a great pic- lighting, colour, detail, the wide format and the moody clouds. Well done sir.

What a great shot Dave, much more snow than there was two weeks ago.

Great subject Dave. The house is a good contrast as is the snow. I wonder though, how about cloning the three posts and the aerial? My eye keeps being drawn to the brown one right in the middle. I cloned them in paint shop and I reckon doing that improves the photo. Just my humble opinion of course.

Hi Stephen whilst POE is not a 'critique' site as such I personally have no problem whatsoever with comments or suggestions appended to my images. It's a great way to learn, even after 40+ years of playing at this game it this good to get other folks ideas. Patrick made a similar comment to yours and has indeed sent me a mod minus the brown pole and I have to agree with both so thanks guys for your valuable input

You're welcome Dave. To me the poles were shouting out to be cloned.

Nice shot Dave .. like it a lot. I'm not a big fan of "tampering" with the image too much, as it kinds of falsifies the true scene & what was actually taken at that time? But can understand of course why people do.

No i don't usually bother about poles and aerials normally, but have had a play and cloning out the brown pole in the middle certainly helps in this instance. Once again thanks to all as comments and suggestions are always welcome and never dismissed

Hi Martin, I think adding to a shot certainly falsifies the true scene but removing something that makes the image disjointed is probably acceptable.
