Bewcastle Cross is a 7th century stone cross, with the oldest sundial in Britain on its surface. The cross is in the churchyard of St Cuthbert's Church.
Bewcastle Castle dates from the 14th century though it stands on the site of an earlier castle and a roman fort which dates back to 1092.
Free entry.
The church is open all year round, from dawn til dusk.
