The historic building provides a luxurious setting offering first class accommodations in the perfect location just a short walk from the town center and lakeshore. With the added bonus of a large car park offering unrestricted parking to all of our 10 letting rooms. Having held a four-star silver rating for many years Acorn House continues to offer well appointed, spacious rooms with the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality. Our rooms with attached bathroom offer a variety of options from luxury four posters, king size, twin, family and ground floor rooms. Our lower studio apartment offers guests their own private entrance, king size bed, luxury futon sofa, small kitchenette (no cooking facilities) and private en suite. All rooms offer hospitality trays and flat screen smart tv’s. The award winning breakfast at Acorn House is as good as it gets. Offering wholesome, locally sourced produce our extensive breakfast menu sets us apart from your average B&B. Whether it’s our famous Lakeland full breakfast or our luxurious smoked salmon and scrambled eggs there is something for everyone and all dietry requirements are catered for. At the T-junction turn right and follow Penrith Road until you go past Fitz Park and go up a slight incline. At the top take a left turn opposite the war memorial and then an immediate second left beside Cumbrian Properties. Follow Southey Street to the end of the road and Acorn House Hotel is in front of you.
