About Fontmell Magna B&B

Set in the Blackmore Vale, Fontmell Magna B&B is in a quiet location just off the A350, 4 miles south of Shaftesbury. Established in 888 it is one of the oldest Anglo-Saxon villages in the country. Rooms at the B&B provides wardrobes, free WiFi, seating areas in each room, tea/coffee facilities and flat-screen TV. There is a private bathroom and shower adjacent to the king room for sole use and the queen room has a roll-top bath with overhead shower fitting. Both rooms have free toiletries and a hair dryer. A continental or Full English/Irish breakfast is included in the price of the stay using local produce from the surrounding farms and suppliers. The B&B also has a shop, post office and tea room attached. The setting is ideal for walkers and cyclists. The local pub is only 3 minutes easy walk away and the owners can organize a table in the restaurant if given prior notice. The property is within easy reach of the Larmer Tree Festival, Compton Abbas Airfield, the Dorset Steam Fair and Shaftesbury's Gold Hill.
