Bardon Hill is a beauty spot in Leicestershire, with stunning views which can reach as far as the Malvern hills and Shropshire hills some 50 - 60 miles away. Lincoln Cathedral can also be seen which is almost 50 miles away.
The hill is a former volcano and is the highest point in Leicestershire at 912 feet (278 m) above sea level, the second highest hill in Leicestershire is the nearby Beacon Hill, another Leicestershire Beauty Spot.
Bardon Hill is also a 13.1 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and the adjoining Bardon Hill Quarry is a geological SSSI.
At the top of Bardon Hill, as well as spectacular views, you will find a trigonometrical point and a radio mast.
