Southport Pier

Southport Pier is quite long. It has to be with the sea often quite a long walk over the sands. Shot more or less into the sun, late afternoon 10th March 2015.

A strong image, good use of the wide-angle lens, but the pier is inevitably a road to nowhere, perhaps a symbol of futility (sorry being too philosophical here)

I've seen how far the sea goes out at Southport so it needs a long pier. I love walking on here. Very nice shot Rod.

The wide-angle lens has created a strong diagonal from the silhouetted pier. I'm another one often to be found on this lengthy structure.
