About Chollerford

Chollerford is a delightful village destination. It is a popular base for tourists visiting Hadrian's Wall and Chester Fort. The region is also popular with keen fishermen, with the river offering plenty of opportunity for salmon and trout. The river banks make a good place for keen nature lovers to stroll and a pleasant place to relax enjoying a picnic.

The village is highly scenic with lovely buildings and a beautiful bridge spanning the river. It has the usual amenities of small shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants, there is also access to many of the regions tourist attractions. These include the lush landscape of the Border Forest Park and Kielder Water, the Pennine Way and at distance there is the rich scenery of the Northumberland National Park and the stark beauty of the mighty Cheviot Hills.
