About The Old Mill

In north Northumberland, The Old Mill bed and breakfast is within 20 miles of Alnwick Castle and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Backing on to an area of woodland, this converted flour mill offers attractive accommodations with free parking and WiFi. Each room has a flat-screen TV, fridge and tea and coffee facilities. There is an private bathroom with a bath or shower, a hairdryer and toiletries. Served in the conservatory or kitchen, the breakfast menu features oatmeal porridge and homemade muesli, as well as a freshly cooked full English breakfast. Alternatives including smoked salmon and scrambled eggs are also offered, and there is also cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt and toast, as well as Fairtrade tea and coffee. The pretty town of Wooler lies to the east of the Northumberland National Park, and is a 15-minute drive from Chillingham Castle. The Scottish Borders town of Kelso is around 24 miles from The Old Mill, and home to the 12th-century Kelso Abbey.
