About Collingham

This is a small Nottinghamshire village pleasantly located on the banks of the River Trent. It offers all the usual village amenities, church, couple of shops, butchers, newsagents and three public houses.

Being within easy reach of Newark-upon-Trent and Lincoln the village is a popular residential area for commuters, it has good sporting facilities, including football, cricket, tennis croquet and bowling. It has become increasingly popular with anglers, possibly due to the fact that one of the village inns, The Kings Head, serves breakfast, lunch and evening meals. The Grey Horse has a children's play area, a beer garden and facilities for pub games such as pool and skittles, whilst the Royal Oak is a venue for dart matches and offers a good range of beers.

Collingham, in its favoured rural location makes an interesting destination for anyone wishing to explore the waters of the Trent, or to use as a base for a visit to the fine City of Lincoln with its cathedral, museum, windmills and busy shopping centre.
