Sowerby Bridge Canal Basin has historic warehouses now fully occupied by Restaurants, Pubs and offices and is the home of the 12th Halifax Sea Scouts. It forms the head of the Calder & Hebble Navigation which gives access to the Yorkshire Canals and is the start of the Rochdale Canal linking through the Pennines to Manchester. Shire Cruisers based in one of the warehouses can provide you with canal hire to enjoy the spendid countrysides of our valleys. |
