It's been glorious sunshine today - just come back from a walk around the Nature Reserve with my family - lets hope this is the start of the summer at last!

It's a hot one already. I've been on my hands and knees scrubbing the kitchen floors, and I feel like I've just stepped out of the shower. I usually like to get my housework done real early, before the heat starts.

The first part of the storm has passed by and we have water lapping at our front door and into the garage up to the house door.

My husband is outside bailing, as there is another storm on the way, so I think I had better go join him.

It really is scary watching it rise and rise, and I think it's time to get ourselves some sand bags. For some reason it gets worse each year, as it runs over a low part at the end of our drive and just flows like a river down our driveway and path. We've never had it this bad in the garage before though.

Time to move to higher ground.

Wow, Sue, do you live near a wash or was it just one of those annual rainfall in one hour storms?

Hope all is well.
