Was in Newquay this week, got sunburnt during the earlier half of the week it was so hot, and then the last couple of days it bucketed down along with gales in true Cornish fashion. Have returned to Windsor where a nice storm has greeted me home, just like where Ron is in Oxfordshire.

We were in Padstow last week and have a sore sunburnt nose, and as you say Nick it tipped down in the last couple of days.

We were at my daughter's on Sunday and she called me outside to see the cloud formation.  Automatically picked up my camera on the way and took a photograph of a long swirling cloud.  This morning it was announced on the local news that about a mile away from my daughter's there was a tornado which did a lot of damage.  I sent my photo to ITV and they showed it on the later news - fame at last!

Took my lad up to the big city (160 miles away) to see the Doctor, and it reached 99 degrees. So, didn't quite hit the 100's. Maybe tomorrow.
