Wow, I thought the desert would be closer than that to the shore.

Australia is 4000 klm. from east to west. and the desert is in the middle.

I guess that would be about right.  But I thought the desert was much bigger.

You are probably right , but I have never been there so a bit unsure, you would have to look at a topographical map of Aus.

 Ruth what's with the new "alein"look and those goggles,care to explain?...we are now fully into autumn, almost had our first freeze the other night...trees are flaming orange also. Even if it's sunny out now, you don't go far without an coat. Ruth you have some "inner desire" to be an bumble bee or something?..chuckles*
