Dare I mention the weather again?

The Somerset Levels some 25,000 acres of land are still under 4 feet of water (that's three weeks now) according to the clip shown on television yesterday, where the water was over the top of a car roof!

And yes, it's raining again here in Oxfordshire.

I remember swimming in the Mersey as a kid, many, many years ago. I'm surprised we survived, considering the floating objects, big and small of all sorts, which floated past us. I know the Mersey is a lot cleaner these days, but I don't blame you Rod for being reluctant to enter its icy waters.

I've just watched the Countryfile weather forecast, looks like we might be in for some snow overnight, the gritters keep passing the door.
